Preparing for Silhouette Studio

Import each layer SVG separately and confirm the registration settings match your blade offset. Silhouette reads SVG directly, so there is no trace step. Cut with the mat still attached and standard settings for cardstock, then adjust cut pressure only if a layer takes more than two passes.

Silhouette-specific tips

Silhouette's default blade offset differs between models, so run a small test cut on the cheapest layer first. Keep the material consistency high across all sheets, because varying thickness across layers is what makes the finished shadow box sit unevenly.
